Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is truly risen!
Easter is not just a season we celebrate. It is the very heart of who we are. We are an Easter people. And if we truly confess in our faith to believe that Christ has conquered death, then we cannot live as if we are still in the tomb.
Too often, we allow fear, mediocrity, or discouragement to weigh us down. But the Resurrection calls us to rise and to step into the light and begin again. Just as the stone was rolled away from Christ’s tomb, He wants to roll away the stones in our hearts that keep us from living fully for Him.
This year’s Easter celebration is especially meaningful. For a rare coincidence in many years, both the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord on the same day. It is a powerful sign of our shared faith in the Risen Christ, and a hopeful glimpse of the unity that our Lord prayed for: “that they may all be one” (John 17:21). As we rejoice together in this historic moment, let us pray with renewed fervor for the unity of all Christians so that the witness of the Church may shine ever more brightly in a divided world.
This is our mission: to awaken the hearts of all Catholics (especially the youth), to remind them that holiness is not a museum piece but a daily adventure. A climb, yes, but one full of grace.
Pier Giorgio Frassati didn’t wait until he was “ready” to follow Christ radically. He simply began. Quietly, joyfully, and with a fire that still inspires us today. As he once said, “To live without faith, without a heritage to defend, without a constant struggle for truth… is not living, but existing.”
This Easter, we invite you to rise with Christ in our prayer life, in our relationships, in our apostolate. But don’t rise only for yourself. Rise for others. Bring Christ to your respective communio groups, to your families, to those who have fallen away. Be bold in your joy. Be generous in your service. Be real in your witness.
Let’s walk together with the Risen Christ, step by step, as we climb the mountain of holiness. And like Pier Giorgio, let us echo with our lives: “Verso l’alto!” – To the heights!
