Dear Friends at ReKnew Your Faith,

Today we celebrate the feast of our principal patron, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, a young man whose life continues to awaken hearts and stir souls toward the fullness of the Gospel. He lived during a time of unrest, confusion, and moral compromise, and yet he never wavered in his pursuit of truth, justice, and holiness.

For Pier Giorgio, faith was not an accessory to his life —it was the foundation of everything. He believed that to live a meaningful life, one must embrace the truth of the Gospel and allow it to shape every decision, every relationship, and every action. He often said that to live without faith, without a battle for truth and justice, is not really to live at all, but merely to get by.

He challenges us to something more.

He reminds us that truth, faith, and justice are not isolated ideals. They belong together. They form the backbone of a life that reflects the beauty of Christ in the world. When one is missing, the others fall short. This vision of Christian living is particularly urgent for young people today, but it speaks to all of us, no matter our age.

As we honor his memory, it’s worth asking ourselves: how are we living these truths in our daily life?

Here are three simple but meaningful challenges inspired by Pier Giorgio’s life:

1. Stand for truth, even when it’s uncomfortable.
In your conversations, online or in person, be honest and respectful. Don’t remain silent when gossip or falsehoods are spoken. If someone is being unfairly judged or excluded, have the courage to speak up with love. Let your words build others up and reflect the truth of Christ.

2. Make justice part of your ordinary choices.
Justice is not only about big issues or public policies. It begins with how we treat people every day. Pay attention to those who are often overlooked—the delivery rider, the janitor, the elderly neighbor. Treat them with kindness, dignity, and gratitude. Support ethical products or local causes when you can. Small choices reveal what we value.

3. Root your faith in daily prayer and sacraments.
Pier Giorgio drew strength from the Eucharist and the Rosary. Try beginning each day with a few minutes of silent prayer, or commit to visiting the Blessed Sacrament at least once this week. The more we make space for God in our routines, the more we will see clearly and love rightly.

Pier Giorgio lived all of this with deep joy. His charity flowed from a faith that was alive. He did not wear a mask of holiness, nor did he retreat from the world’s problems. He brought Christ into them—quietly, humbly, faithfully.

At ReKnew Your Faith, we are grateful to walk this journey with you. Together, let’s continue to seek the truth, love with courage, and live the Gospel as Pier Giorgio did: not halfway, but fully. With joy, with passion, with purpose.

May this feast day be a moment of renewal. Not only in our devotion to Blessed Pier Giorgio, but in our desire to follow Christ more authentically in our own time.

Let’s climb, as he did, to the heights.

In Christ and with Pier Giorgio,

Karlos Cruz Garcia
